Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to those of you who celebrate it.

I suppose more importantly, let us all celebrate the loved ones in our lives. Life is too short, and who knows when these precious times may pass? Make the most of the now, and live life to the full, and let the people you truly love know how you feel, now!

So, is it roses all round today? What perfume do you think is truly romantic? Does it have to be floral?

  1. I had completely forgotten that today was Valentine's Day until hubby greeted me this morning with a greeting and a kiss! (this is what happens at my age...holidays and birthdays are forgotten!).
I am wearing Jour Ensoilielle today...only because I awoke to yet more snow and needed pure liquid euphoria which is what I consider JE...always puts me in the best of moods and gets me out of my winter doldrums!
Happy Valentine's day to you and your readers!

  2. I just realized that in my ranting I did not answer your question. The perfume I find most romantic is SSS Lieu de Rieves-love that violet, rose, heliotrope combination-wore it yesterday and sniffed my wrist all day long. And if we are talking vintage (or classic or whatever term we are calling it) it would be the original non-re-formulated Nocturnes de Caron.

  3. Perfume as romantic? Most romantic perfume? I would say Apres L'Ondee. Cliche yes, but true as cliches so often are. Yesterday I also wore another great romantic, Caron's Or et Noir. An avalanche of rose petals is O&R.

  4. Brie and Blacknall -apologies for the late reply, but thanks to both of you for commenting. I've never tried Apree L'Onde, philistine that I am!
