I don't own many bottles of perfume, as I may have said before. Of those I do own, Diptyque's Tam Dao is one of my favourites.
I haven't worn it in a while, so imagine my dismay when I tried it this weekend to find that the sprayer isn't working! Now that may not be a train smash, but it is a bit frustrating.
I'd be grateful if someone could give me some advice on how to fix the sprayer, or failing that, how to store the bottle and use it going forward.
I seem to recall a DIY sprayer fixer article a year or so ago, on someone's blog, but for the life of me I can't remember whose.
I don't know how to fix a busted sprayer, but my first thought would be to contact Diptyque's customer service. They are very nice. I love Tam Dao, so I sympathize with your problem. :(
ReplyDeletedrat! I also don't know how to fix is, but second Carrie's suggestion.
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about fixing not working sprayers (since it's an alcohol based liquid I do not think the sprayer can be plugged, so cleaning won't help), but I read some horror stories about taking off the sprayer - and a person was practicing on an empty bottle! I like Carrie's idea as well.
ReplyDeleteTam Dao is one of my favorite perfumes (I own a FB) so I sympathize a lot. Please let us know the fate of the bottle.
Carrie, Frida and Undina, a belated thanks for the advice. Perhaps I will try contact Diptyque. Or maybe I'll just decant the whole damn thing or even host a giveaway of various decants of it, who knows!
