Scent of the day - Francis Kurkdjian Absolue Pour Le Soir

Nothing new today, but Absolue Pour Le Soir is still my favourite of the line.

Mellow, yet animalic, honeyed, suffused with hints of rosemary, smoke and a touch of incense, it just smells good. That instinctive sort of good, where you don't have to think about it.

The alchemy that sometimes, if you're very lucky to encounter it, is perfume at its best.

  1. I really enjoyed visiting FK's own perfume shop in Paris, and particularly love his incense (paper incense) and the lovely bubble potions for children. APOM rocks! I wish I'd tried this one, hope I will someday!

  2. Marla I haven't been to FK's boutique, so have never encountered the bubbles and paper incense. I like quite a lot of work by him, and APOM is certainly nice. I still have a certain admiration for some of his earlier work with Jean Paul Gaultier, Le Male in particular.
