Another day, another perfume. Again, I wore a perfume from a bottle I actually own. Again, I received a compliment from the same lady at work. Is it a coincidence?
It's been a while since I wore perfumes I own. I wonder why I don't do it more often; I'm sure many perfumistas feel the same way.
I love L'Instant. It is a wonderful perfume that makes me feel comfortable in my own skin. It just smells good. Period.
Michael, were you wearing L'Instant or L'Instant pour Homme? I love them both, but see the pour Homme as more "you". I can totally understand the co-worker complimenting your waft!
ReplyDeleteCym, it was pour homme. I should have perhaps made that clear.
DeleteI was wondering the same thing.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that it was Pour Homme, because I've always loved that one too.Am much less positive about regular L'Instant.
Do you think that current L'Instant PH has changed btw? Think it might have been simplified myself.
Blacknall, I'm not sure if it has changed. The version I own is the extreme, which I think has a slightly amplified patchouli to the eau de toilette. I haven't tried any in the shops for a couple of years or so now.
DeleteI assumed it was pour Homme, a perfume I have a lot of time for, and which Luca Turin speaks highly of, as I recall. He evokes its trajectory with a convoluted image of a diver diving off a top board and executing a number of fiendish manoeuvres - might he even have given it five stars?
ReplyDeleteVanessa I haven't read the Turin review, but I do like this perfume a lot. I have amended my title to include 'pour homme' because it is slightly misleading. I do recall trying the ladies version a few years ago but can't remember much about it.
